You are beautiful, no matter what they say.

Pathway We all love when there’s a parcel with our name on it, isn’t it? Even on knowing what’s in, it’s still exciting none the less. Yesterday when I got back home after work, mom said there was a courier for me. I was expecting some credit card correspondence from the bank so I decided to ignore it. Later however on realising I haven’t yet bothered to check it, mom brought the couriered envelope to me. It wasn’t from my bank, and was from an NGO called IMFPA- Indian Mouth and Foot Painting artists. As I opened the envelope, I expected to find a letter asking for donation. However when I actually opened it, I found such a beautiful little kit, which consisted of greeting cards, bookmarks, gift tags and even envelopes all done by mouth and foot painting . Their art was actually amazing. And mind you, I’m just not saying this out of pity for those unfortunate individuals who do not have their hands, it’s simply cuz they’re truly mind blowing. You have to see their work to believe, hence I’m putting up pics of all that I received. Sunrise Flower card Bookmarks Envelopes Letter I’m sure you admire their skills just as much as I did. I remember telling my mom, even though we have our hands we can’t do anything close to that. Looking at this kit compelled me to contribute in some way to this NGO. Even their motto is “Self-help,not charity”. I’d like if you can try reading the last picture which is actually a letter from them. You can even check their website for more details or if you’d like to help them in any way.

I really wish they get all the support they require to continue doing this fab work. Good wishes to the IMFPA team. “You are beautiful, no matter what they say, words can’t bring you down.”

It’s Friday finally! It’s been a tiring week at work and home. Imagine staying up late reading management books, and at work covering for a colleague who’s on leave! That even explains why I haven’t been active on the blog recently. All I can hope for is a restful weekend. No meeting friends, no outing, no movie. Just plain rest with some books. Imagine the excitement when I came to work and received this, first thing in the morning today!

Aromatherapy Products!

Aromatherapy Products!

Aromatherapy products! Perfect for bed time! Even the line on those little bottles are so cute! Take a look at the close ups. Cute little bottles Inhaler A male colleague actually got them from someone in Singapore and he believes these are too girly for him. He won’t be using it and hence passed it on to me! I can’t wait to try them tonight before bed time and sleep like a child. I’m so tempted to open them right away and start sniffing and inhaling it all, but I think I’ll wait until the evening. Wishing you all a lovely weekend ahead!

Go Cheetah, get Banana! Hey Monkey- Get Funky!

Hello Everyone,

Recently I asked my cousin Jonathan (who’s now in Bahrain) if he went through my blog to which he replied in the negative. He later went through all the posts and what’s apped me with a suggestion saying I should have a section of my musings. He thought my idea of titling the posts with lyrics of songs went well with my blog name. However according to him, the topics I posted about were banal, and he suggested I try something different like jotting down some personal thoughts/feelings. I hadn’t really thought about a particular musings section, as for me my whole blog was a personal feeling thing. Anyway, here I am, taking up this challenge. I’ve made this new category – The Hummer’s musings. This will include things I directly relate with, I’m sure I’ll find others who do too.
Here’s the first one.

Fruit at work

I just cannot- I mean CANNOT get myself to eat a banana in public (currently the workplace).
It just feels awkward and weird to peel off a banana in front of anyone and take a bite. It’s not like eating an orange or an apple you know. So whenever I have a banana in my bag, I tend to either eat it quickly with no one around the area or will have it already sliced in a bowl and pick one piece at a time with a spoon, like you do when you have a fruit salad.
I’m sure there are many others who think about a banana like this.

Let me know what you think.

Lots of love,
